Small, Urban Lexus EV Coming to Tokyo Auto Show

Forget about some range-topping all-electric vehicle - Lexus seemingly has different plans for breaking into the EV market.

I kinda like it. I've got body parts that won't even fit in that thing, but I still kinda like it.

I don't like the size, but I like the styling cues.

Reminds me of the BMW i8. Why do manufacturers think that electric cars have to look futuristic. Put a battery in a RX or ES with a range of 300 miles with a $7,500 tax credit and Lexus would not be able to keep them on their lots. The BMW i8 has sold 2,800 units this year through August of 2019. If this battery technology was in their 3 or 4 series it would be a huge success. BMW has sold 30,000 3 series this year through August.

Well that's what they did with the Porsche Taycan.
The Taycan is actually a Panamera platform, or more specifically, the same underpinnings with common mounts & common fixation points to share parts, or to at least be assembled on the same factory line.
Modular architecture is excellent.

Could be roomier inside than it looks like. Once I got in to it, my MGB GT had plenty of room.
