Good times! I would never do anything like that but it still looks fun lol
I noticed in the shot with the kid in the tent and the parents sitting down in the chairs the parents put the kid up there and removed the ladder. I like it LOL

about as realistic as the 3 of them sleeping in that thing.

Haha, true
If I'm paying $90,000 for a vehicle like the Defender, I'm not worried about $3,500 for the matching tent

90K might be stretching it for a Defender. Even the fully-loaded First Edition models I saw (and recently test-drove) factory-listed in the upper-70s, though the dealer was adding aftermarket-packs and marking them up to 81K.

The point is its a very expensive toy vehicle.

And I priced one out, easy to get it over $90k...base is $80k. This one doesnt have all the options and things I could put on it:

Yes lol, US dollars. You likely built a 2 door Defender.

Yeah, the Defender is surprisingly not outrageously priced for what it is. The V6 HSE gives you almost every creature comfort and driving assist option as standard. Add on some of the style and offroad packages and you're still under $80k. Certainly makes more sense than something like the RR Velar, which is much smaller, has less powerful engines and offload capability, offers no third row, and also approaches $80k loaded to a similar spec as the HSE Defender.

Agreed its not outrageous, the point of what I built was to show it can absolutely be priced to $90k and above.
This and the RR Velar are very different vehicles. I would choose a Velar over this every time, because it just suits my style of use and my wants out of a vehicle more.

Well, not only that, but the Velar gives you an interior worthy of a Range-Rover price. The Defender interior is basically designed for serious off-roading and/or Third-World conditions.....although that probably, to some extent, makes sense. It would be a shame to explore the Velar's interior to mud, salt, gravel, and dirt.

Just vehicles made for different purposes
