Heres my take on Combustion vs EV costs....the end goal here isnt to make things cheaper, its to make things cleaner...Fixed costs combustion owners encounter for their oil change could be converted into fixed costs for charging infrastructure or use taxes.

 

people acting like an oil change is such a major expense in owning an ICE, its one of the lowest maintenance cost items per year. How fast do teslas burn through tires again?

 

25-30k miles for most Tesla models. performance model tires last 15-20k miles. This is about the same as my IS350 which are through tires every 15k on the dot. How do Viper tires do given they have about the same horsepower?

 

projecting 12k on the viper (surprisingly) even with a track weekend

Regular passenger cars and even trucks can get 40-60k miles on a set of tires mixed driving and they are far cheaper than high performance tires. A tesla isnt as clean and less expensive in that aspect over a regular passenger car
