No offense, but I don't think that is your decision to say if there are too many or not. Young or old, flat-black trim is just not everyone's cup of tea.....but we respect the opinions of those who DO like it.
I prefer any dark or gloss trim to be gloss, not flat. Particularly on a premium car.
I feel flat black is low-hanging fruit. like it's easily done for cheap. flat spray paint or plastidip etc. it takes extra effort ($$$) to gloss something out.
MMarshall, I think its the matte or flat dark grey or black cheap plastic trim is the stuff everyone hates here on CL.....GLOSS BLACK has had favorable comments from just about everyone.
BTW, I agree - why can't Lexus offer something similar to what Audi does??

Yes, I'm aware of the difference. And I agree the gloss black is not as ugly as the matte.
Because black window trim and tinted side windows to match the c-pillar glass looks much more refined on the F-Sport and makes the floating roof actually flow.
I prefer chrome trim to blacked out/shadowline trim too in most situations, but that's why these things are options. I agree, Lexus should have blacked out trim as an option as everybody else does.
I've always thought that black side mirrors were cheap looking. This is probably because it used to be years ago that basic models came with black mirrors and colored keyed side mirrors were an upgrade. So when I see a Lexus with black side mirrors I think CHEAP.

It is my decision to express my positive support to OP's opinion. If I offended you by calling people old heads here, I apologize. *insert obama what? gif* Not that serious to call me out for my opinion.

I'm not calling you out....I don't operate that way, and I'm not a harsh person. Just pointing out that not everyone in the forum is in their 20s, and/or that not everyone cares for blacked out trim. I personally think it looks cheap.
However, there obviously is a market for flat black paint and trim....I'm not doubting that one bit. I see a number of vehicles in this area (D.C. suburbs) with complete flat-black paint jobs all over.....some on brand-new vehicles, some aftermarket paint jobs, like one i saw on a Subaru Forester a few days ago.
