I wonder if at some point in the near future will the market suffer some sort of backlash from crossover infestation? Like folks may just wake up one day and say I want a normal sedan and not some small slightly lifted wagon! I may be biased since I've never been into crossovers but at some point, something has got to give, right?

Presently, the Toyota Crown has been deliberately designed to be JDM Japanese Domestic Market.
In a few years time, they may atually "modify" that Crown, and make it available in LHD to be assembled in China.
They would have to modify the Toyota Crown even more - to cater for global tastes - under the Lexus GS badge.
I am confident that a 5GS is coming in a few years - with an BEV option to boot!
Let's see if I am right, or wrong...

Is there even a left-hand drive version of it? If so, yes, I'd be strongly in favor of getting an American version (might even consider one). This is EXACTLY what is needed in the American market, and what we have a chronic shortage of, and getting worse)...big, plush sedans.
