Yes, I think you're right. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing the Crown come to the U.S.....on that, I agree with other posters.

I'd be happy with a new gen GS that's based off this crown.

I have to wonder. Given that they're making them more and more fuel efficient, I don't see a huge backlash coming? In traffic, the elevated driving position is pretty handy, and I don't see a lot of people wanting to give that up? I think sedans will become more and more of a niche. They're just not the default choice anymore, and I don't see that happening again.

nah, pass.

it doesn't have the styling that americans or europeans would like.

as far as luxury sedans go, the crown would be a nonstarter as is.

Presently, the Toyota Crown has been deliberately designed to be JDM Japanese Domestic Market.
In a few years time, they may atually "modify" that Crown, and make it available in LHD to be assembled in China.
They would have to modify the Toyota Crown even more - to cater for global tastes - under the Lexus GS badge.

I am confident that a 5GS is coming in a few years - with an BEV option to boot!
Let's see if I am right, or wrong...

(Excellent post, Editor)
Well it is because no one is buying said big, plus sedans.
