Not surprised to see a G90 with 80k miles, as it was a used as a taxi. What I was surprised about was the price - $27k seems like a steal! That's quite the depreciation!

That is crazy depreciation but for used car buyers you are getting so much car for the money, I would never choose a new family sedan over a used G90 for the same basic price.
Wow, that's right in my sweet spot for what I look for (high end luxury, 60-80k miles, good value). For $27k I'm thinking I'd be looking at an 80k mile 2013 or maybe 2014 LS460. I hate the wheels on the G90 but like everything else - I should go drive one.
When I see these on cargurus the taxi car featured here doesn't seem as good of a deal considering the miles and Taxi history. For presumably (with negotiation) a few grand more you get better history and less miles.
I would not buy a vehicle with 80K miles, even something like a G90....especially if it had been used for taxi service.
I've bought many used cars with anywhere from 75k-100k miles and have never had an issue. As long as they're maintained and it's documented, I don't see an issue. I do agree, however, that I would never buy one used for taxi service or a former loaner.
For what its worth (not disagreeing with the take on this being a former-taxi vehicle), I test drove a 17 G90 3.3T with about 60k miles. It has held up pretty well, no rattles or squeaks, would certainly pick these up over a new Camry or something. Keep in mind this G90 has been sold in S Korea since 2015 so 2017 isn't the "first" year model. They've had a chance to refine this a little.
I would say it matters most where it was being used as a taxi and what kind of service it was. If it is NYC then no way, then again any car driven a lot in NYC is going to get beat up more then the avg car. If someone bought the car and used it as a taxi/shuttle service privately or for uber then they likely took good care of it, maybe more so then the avg daily driver, I never heard of a regular taxi service that has their drivers using G90's.
