Some? More than ever before. Mercedes has two FWD sedans, not even Lexus has two. BMW is now moving into the fwd space. This is where all the growth is coming from

another possibility is that korean/japanese roads just don't cause the noise the some american road surfaces do.

Now that I have the S560, the difference in isolation from road noise is remarkable. If anything, wind noise and exterior vehicle noise is louder than it was in the LS, but the difference in road noise makes the S feel overall quieter. If Lexus or Genesis could pair Mercedes' ability to dampen road noise with their already excellent way of limiting wind and ambient noise then their cars would really be extraordinarily quiet.
the 'blob' (EQS) has been praised endlessly as being silent in all ways so it looks like mb has taken it to the next level.

of course the electric drivetrain eliminates the engine noise but these days on ICE cars that seems less of an issue than road/wind, etc.

yes, A/B mb series sedans and cuvs and bmw 1/2 series (except 2 series coupe) are fwd-based. but that still leaves the large majority of their models rwd-based.

But they haven't abandoned their proper RWD vehicles. They have a lot of growth and sales in their RWD luxury platform SUVs.

Been monitoring the Genesis forum and an unlucky member already have major issues with the eLSD, has to wait 2 months for repair. I think he/she mentioned seeing same issue pop up in some other forums. Good thing the eLSD is an optional package.
