Yeah, don’t care what reviewers are saying. My own personal subjective opinion is this is a confused interior design that won’t age well. Feels like it should be in a PT cruiser to me, not a luxury car. Simply don’t care for it.

I typically like Genesis interior design, this not so much.

I agree with the above views of the interior not aging well. will have to wait and see in person if it is just the way the shots are taken. I do believe the exterior works, however, just enough lines to make it interesting without overdoing it.

I agree with Bit that most of these are lighting issues with the photography. As for alignment, in my experience, it can vary depending on which viewing angle/point of view they optimize that interior design line for. Is it for a seated driver of average height? Is it for the passenger looking over to the driver side? Pretty near impossible to make it appear absolutely straight for every possible viewing angle.

I keep looking at the pictures of this at various angles and I still can't decide if I like it or not. I'm definitely good with the front 3/4 of the car, up until the C pillar. From there back it reminds me of something but I can't figure out what. I am on the fence about that portion.

I do not like the dash layout. Looks weird to me.

Interior looks concept-y, and not in a good way IMO.

Overall car body styling works for me, too, especially the front fascia. I really don't like the wheels on the red car above. I think that webbed design makes them seem busy. Color and spoke design is spot-on, just delete those web-things, and I am good lol.

Really exciting to actually see this thing though, should be great to drive.

Great design inside and out 👍👍
Easily recognizable as a Genesis with unique touches that doesn’t copy Germans.

Hopefully they price it right and offer good lease deals.

I think it looks GREAT.

What I like most is that its original. They aren't copying anybody, and their interiors all have their own look depending on the model, some people will love them, some won't and thats fine

Being upstarts in the CUV/SUV segments Genesis can afford to take some styling risks. So it looks like they have been successful. As already mentioned, their biggest hurdle is still the dealer network.

New engines confirmed (3.5T badge), it's not going to be a carryover from the G70.

Nice. Although the GV80 was a little slow at 6.2s to 60....hoping this thing gets to 5.5s or better to compete better with the X3 speeds.

Genesis on the R&D front really knows what they are doing and need to kick some asses in the USA regarding their distribution network.

No matter what anyone says, this is a knockout effort.

This was designed until 2018 under famed Luc Donckerwolke of Lamborghini and Bentley fame, plus many BMW and Volkswagen Auto Group alums. He designed the Murcielago. Peter Schreyer also led the introduction of Genesis as a brand and reinvented Kia as a brand with his 2006 appointment.

Korea HQ still has some input, but this is the lead work of their German R&D centre in Rüsselsheim. Toyota is understandably too prideful to do that, but they could sure use a good R&D centre in Germany to share knowledge and facilities, plus a great pool of talent.

I don't really know what Toyota Technical Center Ann Arbor is truly doing for the company, if Japan handles too much of everything and American Toyotas are not as appealing, due to limited decision making. And Belgium isn't exactly the hub of pinnacle R&D. Move Toyota and Lexus HQ for Europe to Germany from Brussels.

GV80 hit 0-60 in 5.3 seconds according to Car and Driver's testing, on par with their GLE 450 and a fair bit faster than the Aviator. All are behind the X540i though, of course.

Alex's 0-60 times are always very bizarrely off.

Thats impressive for such a big vehicle. Looks like a winner! This and the GV80 seem far more compelling than any of the Japanese brands.

loaded GV80 is 5000lbs unfortunately. assume this GV70 will be a lot lighter.
