Then I would have to pay for the insurance and I really don't need another car. Plus BMW doesn't let you change registration when there is 6 months or less left on the term.

I guess it would be cheaper and more cost effective to garage the daily driver and drive the leased vehicle for until the payments were done. Deferring all the wear and tear of the OPs model till later. As a co-signer, do you have the legal right to drive the car?
