Default Converting from kmph to mph?

Hi,
I live in New Zealand & want to ship my 2012 Rx350 L to the UK. Only trouble is NZ is km & UK is mph. Has anybody converted/replaced the kmph to mph dial? If so how was it done.

Also the Sat Nav has maps for New Zealand & Australia is it possible to replace this with map for UK & Europe?

I would imagine there are auto import/export companies that could give you relevant information.

UK is also RHD, that is a much bigger problem for conversion?

New Zealand drives on the left, like the UK, so RHD is the norm (76 countries drive on the left). I remember when we imported a Eunos Roadster from Japan (who also drive on the left) we had to get a couple of minor adjustments made for Type Approval before we could register it - one was the addition of a rear fog light and the other was getting the speedo changed to mph. I think they just replaced the clock face behind the speedo needle. Some cars now have digital dashes so you can just go into settings and change from kph to mph. For the last 50 years or so all cars in the UK have speedo that are graduated in both mph and kph to make driving in Europe easier.

You may have to pay 20% VAT and 10% import Duty. I would question whether it is worth it. 2012 Lexus RXs are not expensive vehicles and in my opinion you'd be better off selling it in NZ and buying a RX450h here. You'd save on road tax and fuel as well.

Here in the US, all speedometers have both markings. Not so in NZ?

It would be annoying having to use the smaller font though. I'm glad whoever imported my truck converted it from KMPH to MPH.

I wonder if you can just get by using a $15 add-on digital speedometer. I use one on my ES300h as I prefer digital readout. I get a tachometer out of it as well.
