New Lexus ads appearing in magazines

Yeah, looks like they are attempting to pander to the "diversity" movement instead of selling a car. I don't give a crap about the people or the color of their skin or their backgrounds or their gender. Just make a great car that I like and tell me about it. I absolutely despise these types of marketing tactics. Just sell your f'ing product.

Lexus is not the Lexus of old, they have become complacent and lack innovation (IMO). Some of their products are so old and behind other manufacturers. It’s time for Lexus to sink or swim, I don’t really care at this point. Plenty of other excellent options out there.

Depends on what you mean by "Lexus of old". In a number of ways, their products would be better off today if they were designed and built like they were before at the mid-2000s or so....that is when cost-cutting in their designs started having a significant effect.

Lexus hybrids are second to none. So I don’t know how Lexus lacks innovation LOL. And the new Lexus ES clears 300horses, what else does someone want from that segment of sedan....which they seem to dominate.

Hybrids aren't exactly considered innovative anymore. Maybe 20 years ago, but not so much now.

Saw a great advertisement tonight while watching the Golden Globes.
Time by Lexus (not sure the full title). A brief glimpse of the Lexus LC at the end.
I liked it

It's so hard to blow people away these days on 0-60 times and bragging rights. Sub 4 second or 5 second or 6 second is not what the car is all about. eg do you really need 500+ horsepower and the financial hangover that comes with it?
In re-reviewing what Lexus has for the future on their website -- the Limitless can be inspiring in a couple of flavors:
A) A dazzling crossover/suv that's a hot alternative to the NX/RX. Has the tech and creature comforts for a 2020 decade vehicle. GS officially decommissioned. Not an official RX replacement.
B) A larger 3 row SUV that is an upgrade path from GX/RXL. Compete with the BMW X5, X7 & Audi Q5, Q7, Q8
Eventually replace the RX using proven tech from these products. If they do options A & B effectively as an upgrade path from RX/GS/GX/RXL, it will bring into question whether they need to continue the RX line up. Refreshing the UX/NX can bring things up to date in a full 360 aware sensor vehicle with some autonomous capabilities.
How Lexus does Hybrid enhancements could change the game. It's not a 'must' have option yet. Do they do these enhancements for all cars as standard and validated for at least 300k-500k miles of life. It may not be a Tesla but can get there with 80-90% of it's user experience.
