- BMW Brand Sales Increase 4.0% in December; Close 2019 Up 4.4%
In 2019, BMW brand sales in the U.S. continued to rise on the strength of new model launches from the company’s ongoing product offensive, and the increased availability of its U.S.-built Sports Activity Vehicles, including the best-selling X3 and X5 and first-ever X7. The all-new, seventh-generation of the iconic BMW 3 Series launched in February and was a top performer in the premium sedan segment.
“We’ve talked a lot over the course of the past two years about having the right product mix for the market, and we believe that with all of our recent launches, we have just that,” said Bernhard Kuhnt, president and CEO, BMW of North America. “BMW currently has the youngest and most exciting product portfolio in the segment. We are very pleased with our results in 2019 and wish to thank both our customers and dealers for their tremendous support.”

MINI Brand Sales
- For December, MINI USA reported 2,310 vehicles sold, a decrease of 17.4 percent from the 2,797 in the same month a year ago. For the full year 2019 MINI sales decreased 17.4 percent on total sales of 36,092 compared to the 43,684 vehicles sold in 2018.
- BMW Certified Pre-Owned sold 11,516 vehicles, an increase of 16.8 percent from December 2018.
- Total BMW Pre-Owned sold 23,242 vehicles, an increase of 8.7 percent from December 2018.
- MINI Certified Pre-Owned sold 930 vehicles, a decrease of 5.9 percent from December 2018.
- Total MINI Pre-Owned sold 2,341 vehicles, a decrease of 4.9 percent from December 2018.

Mercedes-Benz reports December sales of 30,294 vehicles
Save DownloadJan 3, 2020 – ATLANTAMercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today reported December sales of 30,294 Mercedes- Benz models. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz Vans recorded December sales of 4,985, bringing MBUSA to a grand total of 35,279 vehicles for the month. On a year-to-date basis, MBUSA recorded sales of 316,094 Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles and 41,635 Vans. This brings MBUSA's total year-to-date sales to 357,729 units, surpassing last year's volume by 1.0%.
"Strong demand, combined with increased availability for many of our newest Mercedes models including the A-Class, GLB, GLS and GLE propelled us to a successful result in 2019," said Nicholas Speeks, President and CEO of MBUSA. "With more new models to come and an energetic and ambitious dealer network providing first class service, we very much look forward to the new year."
Mercedes-Benz volume leaders in December included the GLC, GLE and C-Class model lines. The GLC led totals with 6,436 units followed by GLE with sales of 5,787. The C-Class rounded out the top three with 3,412 units.
December sales of Mercedes-AMG high-performance models totaled 3,077 units with 33,586 vehicles sold year-to-date (+16.1%).
Separately, Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) models recorded sales of 12,486 vehicles in December. On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 133,969 vehicles, an increase of 4.0% from the previous year.

In 2019, the 3-row Ascent SUV achieved a new annual sales record, adding 81,958 sales to the year-end total, while Forester achieved 180,179 annual sales. Outback and Legacy finished the year with sales of 181,178 and 35,063, up 1 percent and down 13 percent, respectively. Impreza added 66,415 annual sales. On the performance side, the automaker’s WRX and STI models achieved annual sales of 21,838, while BRZ added 2,334 sales.
With four completely new or refreshed models launched in 2019, including the all-new Outback and Legacy, the Subaru brand continued to leverage its U.S. production operations in Indiana to attract a record number of customers for the 12th consecutive year. Milestones achieved in 2019 include the sale of the 2-millionth Forester, as well as the 10-millionth Subaru sold in the U.S.

ROCKLEIGH, NJ (January 3, 2020) Today, Volvo Car USA announces double digit sales growth in 2019. Sales were up 10.2 percent over 2018 with a total of 108,234 cars retailed. This strong result reflects twelve consecutive months of year-over-year growth for the brand and marks the best full year result for Volvo Car USA since 2007.
“We are very proud of our sales achievements in 2019,” said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO of Volvo Car USA. “This result reflects the hard work of our team and retail partners.”
The XC90 leads the brand in sales volume seeing a 13 percent rise in total sales over the previous year. The XC40 compact SUV also achieved a strong result with 17,654 cars sold in 2019; an increase of 42 percent in its second year on sale.
For the month of December, the brand retailed 12,360 cars, representing a 40 percent increase over December 2018.

Record sales of 61,568 cars in 2019 marks 10 consecutive years of growth for Porsche in the U.S.A decade of consistent growth is a fitting way to kick off the 70th anniversary this year of Porsche's beginnings in North America, which started in 1950 with the first three cars sold by New York dealer Max Hoffman.
"It's now my honor, 70 years after those first steps, to be part of the Porsche team that delivered over 60,000 new cars in the U.S. last year," said Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of PCNA. "Porsche has evolved over time, from building one exciting roadster to offering a full range of models developed on the track for everyday use. All of our cars remain the sports car of their segments – and the same is true as we enter a new era with the first U.S. deliveries of the all-electric Taycan in December."
December retail sales were led by the latest generation of the Cayenne, up 7.2 percent from a year ago, and the refreshed Macan, which gained 24.5 percent in the same period. The Panamera also enjoyed year-end demand, gaining 78.3 percent in December from the same month last year.
Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales in the U.S. totaled 2,681 vehicles in December, up 17.7 percent year-over-year. For 2019, CPO sales were up 8.9 percent with 25,102 deliveries.

Kinda good to have low sales figures. You get ultra exclusivity. Very few people have a LC. Part of prestige has to do with how hard something is to find.
