That wouldn't work with me. You couldn't give me a black vehicle.

Then you would pass on it and wait for the next one and hope its a different color. Thats how it works.

You would just have to say you want a certain colour and then you just have to wait for it to come in, eventually it comes. You leave a deposit. When the 2015 4Runner was bought, it was to be blue, exactly like the 2004 model we have (two blue 4Runners). Took 6 weeks. The 04 model was the same thing, but a bit longer of a wait.

This dealer won’t take a request for a color. When a car comes in they just go down their list and see who wants it first.

That how they do it. They’re selling cars so it seems to work for them.

When we bought our 04 Prius it was the same way. You could get on a list for an equipment package but not a color.

People are putting money down because the price is lower than a Toyota HL (not sure about Honda) and the warranty is pretty good. This new model is a pretty good value. If it were priced higher, might be a different story. Eventually at some point, the pieces will level out. On the Palisade forum, under priced paid, they are saying deals can be made

In some cases, that won't work with me LOL. You couldn't pay me to have a black vehicle.

I think if someone came up to you and said "Here's a free black car, and some extra cash to pay for gas", you'd relent.

Thanks, but without revealing my private finances, I've got more than enough cash for any vehicle I'd reasonably want and enough to keep it filled. That's the least of my worries.

As for black vehicles themselves, they just aren't my cup of tea. Paint gets too hot in the summer, hard to keep clean, shows too many imperfections, sun glares off of it too much when it is clean....I can simply do without.

I don’t like black cars either. Not my cup of tea. I will say, I would consider a black on beige as a last resort. No way to a black interior. Our matrix is black, I hate it. I have taken an appreciation to grey lately.

I've had white, black, gray, tan, cream interiors... really couldn't care less.
they all get dirty and must be vacuumed and cleaned now and then.

maybe it's modern car glass but my car that had black interior got no hotter than my current car that has the white interior. and neither was/is uncomfortable even in florida's summer. when at home though my vehicles are in the garage so don't get hot there, but even in 8 hours of sunshine i've never had an issue. sure it could be hot air inside so i use the remote start before getting to it and in.

about exterior i've had silver, dark green, dark gray/brown (explorer and jeep were close in color) and now black. all great, and even though all i've heard my whole life is that black cars are hard to keep looking clean, people all the time say how clean my car looks and anyone who knows me knows that cleaning cars is VERY low on my priorities.
