We’ve talked about this before. Pull down car seats are not safe in a modern world. There are much stricter requirements for car seats now, and it’s not feasible to build them into a car. Plus requirements are always changing, and anything built into a car would be quickly obsolete
What I have seen which is smart is a built in BOOSTER, Volvo’s have that and that’s very slick. But built in harness car seats just aren’t feasible today.
Don’t argue, I have young kids and I know all the requirements and you clearly don’t.

In the forums, newer models seem to be better. Still not likely to roll the dice again lol.

I think i know why the pacifica has crap build quality. It's made in Windsor, Ontario... called once "Earth's rectum"

Sounds like a plausible hypothesis lol

^^^ An insulting and somewhat obscene/NWS article....clearly insulting to those who live there. And, if Windsor has become a dump, in my view, it is at least partly because the auto companies farmed so many jobs out to semi-slave-labor conditions overseas. In fact, another Canadian auto plant (Oakville), not that far away, is scheduled to be shut down by Ford, just adding to the problem.

The article is 4 yrs old for one thing and dead on the money. Windsor Ontario has always been a dump. And i thought that article was funny.

This has to be a misprint:
18 inch brakes? On a minivan?
For reference, the front rotors on a 911 GT2 RS clubsport are 16.1", and the largest rotors ever fitted to a production vehicle are the 17.3" ones on the Lamborghini Urus.
FCA says AWD models tip the scales at 4,883 pounds, a substantial 362-pound weight increase over front-wheel-drive models. Part of that's the extra driveline componentry, but it's also due to an enlarged 18-inch brake package, self-sealing tires and unique front and rear suspension calibrations that include a new rear stabilizer bar.

Yeah I’m sure that’s a misprint

Pillows are not recommended by any safety group, as they affect the seatbelt and airbag's job to properly restrain someone in an accident. A body should be upright in a seat without any bulges are extra spaces. Dozing off with your head against the headrest is fine.
The facelift gets rid of the goofy, criss-cross lines up front. A huge improvement, but the ever-lagging reliability issues are an immediate disqualification.
