And I thought diesel engines can last and last A LONG TIME!!!
I wonder how many miles so far on yours?
The Sprinter diesel ambulances are put through some real tough uses with lots of mileage. From what they tell me they are happy to switch to the new Ford ambulances. I think the Fords are cheaper to acquire and also to maintain/repair. IDK. IF one just drive around not too much and get rid of it before warranty expires, then all ok.

Mine is a 2015 v6 diesel, and it has been absolutely stellar, I haven't done anything to it besides oil changes once a year, new brakes and tires and a few burnt out headlight bulbs. I will replace it with a new model in the summer, because long term reliability for modern diesel engines is just not a thing.

The good ole days of long lasting diesels are gone.
I'm not sure how many miles, probably 70k-ish, my employees drive it, but modern diesel engines will not last a long time. Because of the emissions crap they get chocked up carbon and after five years dramatically lose performance and economy. I used to have a Ford 6.0 diesel, and that thing was the most unreliable POS, but I do have a special place in my heart for it because it did get me through the aftermath of hurricane Sandy.

I have a 2019 X5 and the new generation does not have sliding or reclining second row seats, unless you have the 3rd row option. Otherwise it's a fixed seating position. Same in the new GLE.

2nd row space was NOT an issue in the BMW Gran Turismo. Problem solved on a vehicle they are ending production on. BMW really tried to do so many things to entice the broadest range of drivers. It's hard to stay in biz competitively with so many vehicle variants and custom components for each. The popular/what's cool to be in models live on for another day. What's not hot or even modest success stories get the axe.
If my 2nd row passengers are not going to be leg-room comfortable on a 4 hour road trip, the vehicle is a no go.

I drove a Macan not long ago, and it had a pretty tight rear seat, too. It's a compact vehicle, but its rear seat felt no roomier than my IS's rear seat, perhaps with the exception of headroom. Headroom does go a long way, but my knees were less than a finger-width away from touching the seat back with me sitting behind myself... So SUV (or CUV, or... SAV) does not imply space.
