if that's true, I think it will be a big fail.

shocker that you are so negative. Have you seen how pathetic the 3rd row is in the new GV80? They are pointless in anything other than a minivan or Sequoia, Or Suburban.

I find it interesting regarding the discussion about 2 row/3 row crossovers in this class. In my neighborhood we have a GX, LX, Land Cruiser, 2 GLE's, a Velar, X7, X5, etc. In looking at the families who own the vehicles, none of them have more than 2 kids, with most actually having no or adult children. I really don't think the absence of a 3rd row in this price class would be that detrimental. If it has the looks, comfort, luxury, etc., of what someone looking in this pricepoint is after, it will sell.

Yup. All pretty much useless. Best thing about the LX and Land Cruiser is that there is a 3rd delete feature. I like Range Rover for the fact that it is a dedicated 2 row. Our LX has a 3 row, we were never given the seats but can’t imagine putting anyone back there. My 4Runner came with a much more handy two level storage shelf for parcels and such

The GV80 is a midsize SUV that competes with the X5 and none of the vehicles in this luxury segment have a decent 3rd row- including the RX.

Lexus clearly wants the LQ to be a fullsize competitor, and if it can't offer a 3rd row like the rest of the competition, it'll get creamed again just like the LS500 with its lack of interior space. Heck, it'll get creamed by its own RX.

As we've established Jill, you are anti third row lol.

I don't believe this vehicle is supposed to be a three row, at least the concept is not. I don't have an issue with it being two row as for me this vehicle wouldn't be used for that purpose, this would be a sedan replacement. Same thing as a Range Rover, or a Q8.

Doesn't negate the fact that Lexus needs a good 3 row crossover, this just isn't meant to be it.

Hopefully Lexus makes a big Navigator vehicle based on the Sequoia. Happy to see that you are ok with the LQ being a 2 row

That wouldn't fill the need. They need a GLS/X7/Q7/XC90 style vehicle. What the RX-L was supposed to be but failed to be.

It would be perfect for Lexus. They could also have a larger 3 row crossover, the brand could definitely support it. I don’t the RX-L was intended for the X7.

A BOF vehicle like that isn't what Lexus needs, they have the BOF LX already.

The RX-L was meant to compete with 3 row crossovers, the X7 didn't exist and is more expensive but its competitors are the MDX, QX60, XC90, Cadillac's XT6...and it competes very poorly.

Lexus needs a bigger LX. And yeah, RX-L does not compete very well. Problem IMO is that the RX should be 2 row, and there should be a larger model just dedicated to being a 3 row crossover. I am sure that is coming.

as Motorola pointed out, the gv80 isn't a flagship. I suspect a gv90 will come.
