That would make your 6.2L a manual transmission, the automatic versions have cylinder deactivation. I'm not sure any manufacturer adds cylinder deactivation on their MT cars.

And the 17 RXh does 28 on the highway with additional seating capacity and storage.....

If you want a real objective comparison i`d look no further then the LS600H vs LS460L awd for early ideas... 2 MPG combined better, .3 seconds faster

This was 8 years ago, imagine the differences with a platform shift to TGNA-L and shift to denser batteries in Toyota hybrids

Correct! It’s a 6 speed manual. I can cruise at 75-80 mph on the highway & easily get 25, sometimes 26 mpg (with no wind) all day long. Driving the RX at 70 - 75 mph nets about 24 mpg. Add hills & wind & it easily drops to 22 mpg. The 450h mpg is a huge disappointment when looking at what it’s rated to obtain. The Camaro SS meets & exceeds what it’s rated to obtain. Add in 455 HP & 455 ft/lbs of torque & the Camaro is a blast. Both have electric power steering. The Lexus has mind numbing mush steering, while the Camaro has tight & precise steering.

If GM stops making small-block, pushrod motors I will need legit time to mourn. They are fabulous engines.

would rather have that in an F150 than an ecoboom, but its only in F250+. Notice how they dont put the ecoboom in the F250?

I would never drive any truck with a turbo V6 and no V8. Over my dead body.

I'd rather have the base 5.3 Chevy V8 than the top line 3.5 Ford Eco.

Toyota can get rid of V8s, I'm getting the 5.7 very soon, probably the last NA one. Even for 12 years old its numbers and performance are stout.

I've never heard any complaints from really anyone about the 5.7 other than it's thirsty but IDC about that. People don't say it's underpowered.

I guess drag & weight do play a role
This^^^^^x2....Really you don't buy either for mileage, as both have & serv their purpose. Kinda a great combo to have. I would of gone w/ a '14 Z/28 myself thou....

Have you ever driven a Ford F-150 2.7 or 3.5 Ecoboost? Aside from not having the V-8 growl, an Ecoboost will blister the freak’n tires on those pickups. I’m not to proud to buy one in the future.

Oh I'm aware they fly...... If turbos are someone's thing, more power to them.

I have to have that V8 growl absolutely non-negotiable, and the simplicity of a pushrod small-block. I have a 16 year old GMC in the driveway on original everything other than tranny fluid. Haven't even changed coolant or plugs. Engine is indestructible. I don't think after 16 years of ownership a Ford guy with an Eco would be able to say that.

The 5.3 isn't "slow." In any case there's always the 6.2.

I think the NA V8 in the LC500 will go down as the best V8 Lexus ever made so at least they are going out with a bang. The V8 TT in LCF - if it ever comes? - will be well north of $100k and I doubt it will sound as good.

Its weird to see you get flack over liking a V8 and rejecting a smaller turbo...crazy, but you'd think people would support and high five you.
