Yeah all of my LS sedans had full sized matching spares. My ES300 and 2010 ES350 did too, but my 2013 GS350 was a temp spare. Obviously the LS500 has no spare because it has run flats. New ESs have temp spares.

I've never had a flat but always carry around a good spare. Thought about removing it but you just know if I do I'll get a flat.

Removing one's spare tire is not always a bad thing

Back in my Hot Rod days I would take the spare tire out & just carry a can Of Fix-a-Flat.

just remember to keep an air compressor on you or keep the spare inflated. Worthless if you get a flat and its low on air

I check them once a year. I have an original Dunlop that is 33 years old it is in perfect condition no cracks says to me UV kills rubber.

Looks good. How is the ride and handling vs. the old tires?
What brand of tire dressing do you use?

They're basically the same tires. Quieter since they're new, so far so good!

I use Adams Tire Dressing. Its water based but still has good gloss:

Congratulations......they look nice. I miss the whitewall days, although trying to keep them clean with the old SOS or Brillo-soap-pads (remember those)? could be a PITA.

I don’t miss whitewalls no lol

I have had a couple cars with raised white letter tires. My Explorer had them as did my 2011 Jeep. They are a pain to keep clean but do look good on the right application.

Thanks. The Adams looks good. Nice gloss but not an overly shiny greasy look.

I have a set of those tires mildly disappointed in them. They are good but not the buttery smooth and quiet ride everyone seems to rave about. Important to understand that the same tire can and does have different ride/noise characteristics on different vehicles so when buying tires try and find reviews of those tires on the same car as yours this is not difficult on sites like Tire Rack.

They’re great on these cars. My old set was still really quiet and nice riding even worn down.

These are the new “II” model which is supposed to have better wet traction. We’ll see. Seem to ride as well and are quieter than the old ones, of course they’re new.
