Acres of unsold vehicles

The pic in the OP's post also looks like the Manheim 263 ac facility just east of here. While I believe there will be deals when production ramps up again and demand goes down (my guess), I believe that now there is too much uncertainty all around.
As for incentives, at the end of March I rolled out of the lease of my 17 MDX Advance three months early, and into a lease of an identical 20 MDX Advance for a payment of $118 less. In March there was a dealer lease incentive on the vehicle of $8,050, in addition to a loyalty incentive. In April and now May, the dealer incentive has dropped to $4,450 (the loyalty incentive remains), although the money factor has gone down some.

1) Americas running low on pickups...factories and suppliers are rushing to open up
2) Executives are confident that the worst may be over amid the coronavirus outbreak, and the good news is that April may not have been as bad as many expected.

Yup everything is manageable no discounts, no incentives, low aprs going away shortly

One positive trend outlined by J.D. Power, which had initially expected an 80 percent decline in April, showed a rebound in retail sales over the course of the month. Industry retail sales were down about 60 percent the last week in March compared with the pre-virus sales forecast but only by about 40 percent the last full week in April. J.D. Power estimates retail sales fell 46 percent last month.

Its hard to understand the market with all the maneuvers the mfgs, dealers, and finance arms are doing in the new car field.
1) Mfgs immediately stopped production to prevent the glut of inventory
2) Finance arms stepped up with HUGE loan lengths with zero or close to zero rates and deferred payments. Incentive packages have either disappeared or decreased.
3) Dealers decreased their discount rates and are working remotely
4) We are at two months of negative sales numbers
While this may change, as this situation is fluid and we reach the mid-point of the MY20, its gonna be interesting ride.
In regards to used cars, I think the idea of a better deal is more prominent. Theres no way to cut supply as easy as it is with new cars. Those numbers I can see going down.

Enthusiast cars are doing well i think.
Last week I saved bunch of listings on Autotrader for GT350, C7 Vette, Jag Ftype R and 80% are showing unavailable.
My friend knows a guy at a Porsche dealer- he told him they are selling very well.

Saw similar in Germany last year close to an Audi test centre. But not on a port... stocks of over-production are not uncommon but on a port is obviously trouble.

So... Will the God Emperor Trump come up with his own version of Cash for Clunkers and we're going to see a ****load of LS 430 chocking on sodium silicate when they get replaced by a 1.8 Corolla or will the G.O.T not interfere in the market?
