Acura Cars are Ugly

The IS350 was a great car in 2014. Much better than the TLX but times have changed. I'd rather have an NSX over an LC500 but the rest of Acura's lineup isn't great. Although the MDX and RDX are better than the RX and NX. They should never have killed off the Integra. What a glorious car.

Were Acuras from the 80's and 90's styled in Japan?
Are modern day Acuras styled in the US?
Could this be the reason why Acuras are so controversially styled today?
Where was NSX II styled?
IMO, NSX II looks great!

Acura needs to bring back the LEGEND name. I have said this for years.
I would do a new luxury RWD based platform for Acura Legend sedan and also a luxury crossover on same platform.
Update the NSX to make it cheaper as RWD only minus the electric motors.
New TLX and TypeS variant sound promising but its not a luxury car to me if its still using Accord platform/engines/trans.

You guys remember the older RL, when it was also called the Legend from the 90s. That was a good looking car, in my younger days I loved the design of the older Acuras. The integra/ Legend etc. In fact when I could afford a nicer car than the beat up maxima I wanted to buy a 2000 TL - S but ended with a GS400. its a shame the current Acuras are weird looking and I agree with OP

Their FWD-based platforms with transversely mounted engines from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's were superbly styled, and sold very well.

This is the guy in charge of Acura's current design language. I wanna say don't be too judgemental, but...

The original 2nd Gen NSX was styled by a Japanese man in Japan I believe, not sure of name, a rough design was first seen in "The Avengers" movie, when they changed the orientation of the engine and engine they had to make some changes to 2nd Gen NSX design to deal with added length, cooling, etc and Michelle Christensen was put in charge of that, she is not the original designer of the 2nd Gen NSX but for some reason was given most of the credit and attention, maybe because she is pretty hot.

At least Acura is going to make a performance Sedan to try and compete while Lexus is focused on SUV's. The Type S will be better than anything in it's class that Lexus has. They better hurry up and make another ISF.

I don't believe the 3rd Gen TL was styled in Japan or by a Japanese stylist, 4th Gen TL was styled by an American along with the ZDX who I believe was designed by Michelle Christensen.
