Forget DD. We don't need him to tell us an S580 is a fabulous car. But yeah, I'm sure it is.

DD doesn't even know basic things about many cars.

I'm not even a hybrid fan but it's 100% seamless.

If I was in the market for an executive luxury sedan, I would be headed straight for the Mercedes dealership. In my opinion, the S-Class Mercedes has always been the pinnacle of executive presence, luxury, and ultra-refinement.

That is really neat. I thought I read that you can’t feel the start-stop with this new technology. Interesting stuff

I can't feel that either. In previous cars i had to turn it off because it was soo clunky. In my wife's ghibli, the ac compressor turns off with the auto start. Imagine forgetting to disable the auto start and coming to a stop in 100 degree weather lol

‘Nice. I think it powers off the actual gas engine before you actually stop, or something like it. . Not sure but will have to look for my own interest and knowledge. Are you still discovering new stuff on in the screens or have you figured it all out by now?

Agree. There has been a bump or two along the way ::cough W220:: but yes, you are spot on. S class is the pinnacle of a big flagship luxury sedan.

It took me couple of weeks to figure out all the features. My latest discovery is the built-in dash camera. Doesn't work as well as teslas but it's a nice feature.

Just the knowledge that you are driving around in the best driving most comfortable car available south of a quarter million dollars is a special feeling. Enjoy it, I really love mine. I like it more the longer I have it.

I love Doug, but that was disgusting. He was sweating all over that beautiful interior. I would not want to buy any car after someone sat in it like that.
