But Benza, in japanese, means "toilet seat"... V's, in japanese, are often coming over as "B"''s to the ear.
AND IT ISN'T FINISHED.
In Japan, the Venza was called the "Harrier", because of the obvious similarity above.
But Harrier sounds like arrière in french. French beeing quite popular in Japan. And it can signify "back" or "bottom".

Somebody definitely had a beef with this car at Toyota.

Apparently there's a 5 month wait list in Japan for the thing. Why introduce two vehicles that uses the new hybrid powertrain when they can't even supply enough of it for the RAV4.

I didn't really care for this Venza from the Toyota press release or photos...but watching the video, I love the interior.. The center stack is one of the best yet and the screen is awesome.....I like how Toyota went the extra step and added a motorized shade for the tricked-out sunroof.....the seats looks like F-sport Lexus design which look comfy and snug.......powertrain is not up to the price point but has outstanding fuel economy so it makes it up there (a Venza Prime will likely solve the performance deficiencies).........this is the type of vehicle that is replacing sedans like a Camry or Avalon...I really don't like the exterior, but I will wait till I see it in person....this Venza is going to be a home-run for Toyota...and it will be very hard to get

I like it, especially the interior, but I think I would still go with the RAV4 Hybrid. I like the RAV4 styling better and it has more interior room than this. Even though the RAV4's panoramic sunroof doesn't have the dimming feature, at least it opens. I'd take one that doesn't dim but opens over one that dims but can't be opened. I also don't like how the Venza's pano roof prohibits roof rails, which we have and use on our Highlander.

I like it looks very upscale. Between the RAV4 hybrid, RAV4 prime and now this Toyota is going to have a tough time meeting the demand !

I think you are right. Have to add in the Highlander hybrid in their as well...Toyota is unstoppable with their hybrids....it’s where their growth and brand is excelling. (Just my opinion). I also kinda like that the Venza origins are “Made in 🇯🇵 “

100%, they are terrible How does that pass regulations? And more importantly how does that even become a concept never mind make it into production.
