I did it again, Bought a new Beater.
Well, as the story goes, i had made a few comments about how i was not happy with my 535I mainly due to the old technology involved. So i went looking for a new beater today and found one.
This is my new 318. It's much more updated and has many more creature comforts. It is also a 5 SPEED I am very pleased with it so far and have absolutely no regrets of tossing the 5 series away. I'm going to mod the heck out of this thing too
These pics were taken at the guy's house i bought the car at. I may get better one's later. I'm a bit busy right now.

I believe last i looked it was 125k on the ODO. Yeah, the car is pretty much flawless. interior is mint and the leather is still fresh. need to steam clean the carpet , but no damage and no greasy spots It was a one owner.
I have to replace the bulb that lights up the info center so i can see all the info but i think i can get that done
Oh, i will say one thing about that 4 banger... little sucker pulls amazing after 3500 rpm. redlines somewhere around 7k and pulls very very good all the way up. has somewhat of a turbo feel to it in a way. after 3500 it literally starts to put your head back a little. Very impressive for a 4 cyl.
Sent the old beater to the atlanta auto auction with a dealer i know.

I had a '95 318i before I bought my ES. Ended up selling it to my sister. Nice car, handled quite well, just didn't have the pickup I wanted (mine was an automatic, I hear the 5-speed is much more fun to drive), and I wanted a little more room. Had a few nice touches I wish I had in my ES--headliner felt went all the way down the pillars, gas shocks on the trunk lid, a nice toolkit inside trunklid, and a cool rechargeable flashlight inside the glovebox. The car felt "solid" in every way, and had "leatherette" upholstery that 95% of people mistook for real leather, yet was tough as nails and never needed conditioning. Handled quite well in the snow with Michelin Pilot Alpin snow tires.

square, yes i drove the auto at a dealership and was less than impressed with the get up and go. the 5 speed is great, combined with the excellent handling it makes a very fun little go cart. very solid though.
The only quirk was the headlights fogging over and having condensation in them. i say WAS because they met MR oven a few minutes ago the one on the right shows the condensation, the one on the left has been finished. Opened, cleaned, polished and sealed back up. unfortunately the camera caught a glare.

Tranny Computer failed, the car stalled in the middle of shifting from 1st -2nd gear. Imagine seeing 4 men directing traffic around, and then pushing a $119,000.00 car out of the middle of an intersection.
Well, I had my g/f pick me up and we left the car in a bank parking lot until the dealership could sent a tow truck to pick it up. They brought me back a ML320 to drive while they order new parts. I should get it back in about 4 days.
I found out a interesting fact.. I bought the 2nd 04' S55 in the state and one change was the computer in the car. SO I was a test dummy.
Ask me if I regret this purchase... I'm starting to think my CL55 didn't have flood damage, it might have just saw the water and got scared and broke.
Well anyhow, I have chosen to drive my Lexus around and let my g/f drive the ML....
The Denali is enjoying some rest in the garage (and it needs it). It is less than 1 month old and I've put over 4,000 miles on it.
