2018 was the last model year and I believe production ended early as well.
Competition package was not standard so there were base 2018s.

I agree as a daily - its very raw and DCT is not ideal in traffic.
The non-Competition ones are more comfortable. I had a 2016 non-comp which was my daily driver in NYC with car seat lol. The 2018 is now for weekend pleasure.

Here is a recent pic from few days ago:

Some of the aftermarket tunes smooth out the torque delivery on the M3 so your not just spinning your wheels into 3rd gear. In stock form, its very hard to get a good launch.

This is probably the main reason new M3 will be AWD and i can imagine 0-60 close to 3.0 sec.

I'm sure it will be. BMW has been getting called out by its competitors for awhile now so they always seem to respond well. I'm hoping that if they do bring an M3 that will do 0-60 in 3 seconds, Elon unlocks Ludicrous mode for my Performance 3. lol.

Well hopefully no 4G Supra guys are reading this thread, because it's gonna tick them off. What with CC's local Bimmer fans discussing M3's and such on a Lexus forum that is supposedly about the Toyota Supra, lol.

But more seriously though, it's amazing what BMW's inline sixes can do. Reading some of the 0-60 times from magazines and the like, you see the M340i and its CUV cousin ripping some astonishingly quick jumps to 60 and the quarter. Just a few years ago that was simply not believable other than superbikes. IMO it is the motor and the suspension, transmission with a car company that has a laser focus on performance and handling.
