German design studio/aftermarket parts manufacturer Prior Design is prototyping some replacement front facias, and a couple of them look pretty awesome:

it is trivial for a car manufacturer to tool up different bumper designs for their models. Just ask any domestic manufacturer!

No kidding. This actually puts the M3 back on the consideration list for me (RWD, non-competition package, 6MT), with the understanding that there's a mandatory $2k or so for a new front clip added to the total price.

That does look much better

People spend $3-4k+ on wheels...whats the difference between wheels and bumper conversion? Think of what people spend on body kits, etc

No way this is $3-4k. Here's an M3-style bumper for an F30: https://absautorepair.com/products/b...e-front-bumper. $400. Paint and installation will not be anywhere near $3600. Even an OE M3 bumper costs around $600 for the part.

Mperformance Exhaust is $5-6k and all the OEM CF aero parts were quite expensive on previous M3, so its not like ppl are not used to it.
I can’t wait to see what IND has up its sleeve to fix this mess.
Personally I’m keeping my F80 - love that car but i would not mind leasing AWD M3 to replace our X3. The price on the new one is very attractive as everything is pretty much standard.
