2021 Acura TLX

Agree but I was just making the point that Acura really markets this as a 3 series competitor and its because interior dimensions are much more in-line with that class of vehicle. To give credit to Acura, they never claimed it was a midsize premium car and has maintained that its an entry level 3 series competitor. The only reason i benchmarked the Model 3 is the 3 series is very similar in terms of interior dimensions and i couldn't find the 3 series interior volume as they don't use that metric. I do know that it seems its about the same though so the 3 series is actually a pretty large car and probably has more interior volume than the TLX. I'm actually surprised that the new TLXonly has 0.1 cubic feet more than the 2020 version.
Was reading some more, I guess the 12-Volt battery was relocated to the rear to help with weight distribution.

my point is, no matter how hard you try to package a compact or midsize fwd based vehicle, the front end is still likely to be fugly in proportion.
and man, how did this tlx get to be so heavy!? i guess a lot of steel etc to make the car very stiff?

I do like the interior in beige.
EDIT: Watching more reviews, the most consistent complaint even among those who rave about the TLX are that the tires are terrible. Despite being 255-width, they squeal like a pig in every test drive. Topher is barely pushing it and it sounds like it's at the Nurburgring. And Alex's review claimed that the TLX had one of the worst stopping distances in the segment. Why did Acura bother making them extra wide if they provide such poor grip? It almost defeats the entire purpose of SH-AWD.
Also, no spare wheel. Have fun paying for 255-width run flats.

Did you expect them not to gimp on tires? This is the company that was OK with diminishing the performance of their milestone supercar by picking up all-season tire as the default option.

Until the higher-performance Type S model arrives, Acura's much-improved TLX sports sedan is a set of summer tires away from realizing its full potential.
Acura fits the TLX's 19-inch wheels that come on everything but the base model with Michelin's Primacy A/S, a tire chosen not for its grip but probably its long tread wear, ride comfort, low noise, and minimized rolling resistance. For this reason, although the steering is quicker than before, and with progressively wider gear-tooth spacing so the response quickens as you turn the wheel off-center. But turn-in is dull, and the tires squeal even at responsible street speeds.
Acura's choice of a laid-back tire is a shame, as the dialed-in chassis is begging for more grip.
