At the end of the day, regular Camry makes more power than regular Sonata....and TRD Camry makes more power than the Sonata N....no turbos required for Camry..haha. Your argument is weak.

Happy to see the Sonata N....the new Sonata styling has really grown on me....but the interior is kinda crappy...but maybe I’ll change my mind.
Yes but the 3.5L isn't offered anywhere but a failed product, which i agree is completely stupid. Why is the more powerful TRD slower? Maybe because peak horsepower is a sad argument and Toyota makes sad performance engines. It is what it is.

The LS500 isn't any faster than the G90 with the older 3.3TT. Let that sink in.

The Camry V6 has more HP but way less torque, and you really have to rev out the engine to use all that power- which traction control will cut off if you decide to floor it.

It was developed 14 years ago when Toyota was good. Guess they haven't done anything worthy since then.

Lets move on’. Go back to TLX...good for Hyundai N for making something that competes with the Acura TLX. TLX has a pretty decent fan base and core buyer....so I doubt that Hyundai N will win over buyers with a Sonata

i like the exterior of the TLX....interior I am not so sure the design is all that great. 🤷‍♀️

TLX doesn't compete with the Sonata N-Line. It competes with the G70, where it fails spectacularly against the Korean as a performance vehicle.

That midsize regular FWD sedans like the Accord and Sonata can smoke the TLX says more about the TLX than it does the regular family sedans.

Was referring to the video posted.

I don’t agree that the G70 is the true competitor....I think G70 should be compared with BMW and C class.....the TLX is fwd car and is a level lower (not even factoring price)

Prehaps the TLX-S will smoke them all

Acura's marketing department disagrees.

Jill proved that Toyota is as good as Hyundai / Kia and maybe that is so. But in the echelon of performance powertrains offerings, Hyundai and Kia are far below Ford, Stelantis, GM, BMW, Mercedes, and VW / Audi. Hopefully Acura can play with the big boys once the Type S comes along. I guess all hope is riding on that one engine

Unless you're being sarcastic, I'm not sure how a car catching on fire as a result of an accident disproves the fact that the higher HP-rated LS500 isn't faster than a G90 3.3TT with lower HP on paper. The point here wasn't so much about Toyota vs Hyundai as the fact that spec sheets can be deceiving.

Type S would have to have the greatest V6 ever made if it thinks it can take on a G70 or 3 Series despite weighing almost 500 pounds more than both.

No, the ILX competes with those as they're all sub-compacts.

Realistically, the closest competitors to the TLX are other tweeners like the CT5, and maybe the Stinger and Q50.
