And they could have done that with other models too but they didn’t. It’s a blanket zero interest deal on all 2020 and 2021 models, plain and simple. Has been offered in years past just like this. People are talking like it applies only to the refreshed IS and it’s a bad thing. It’s neither

The really sad part is they developed a new V6TT and 10speed trans that would work great in a “truly” New IS instead of this refresh. Imagine IS500 with 450hp and 10speed with better performance than the M340i. That would get everybody’s attention. What is stopping them from doing this is really beyond comprehension......

All the luxury manufacturers have been using staggered setups for years on their coupes, sedans and SUVs. My BMW X3 even has this and X5 has had it for years- that’s they have that mean bulldog stance.
Lexus as always is very conservative especially when it comes to proper wheel/tire fitment. RCF and GSF did have proper setups.

New model gets a good incentive to purchase...failure.
X5Ms get 11% off the top...success.

I guess Lexus cant win any way.

True it may be a blanket promotion, but if demand is high, do you really need it? Esp on a brand new model? These yr end promotions are really meant to clear out 2020 models, not a 2021 that 's still waving goodbye to the factory that built it.

X5M is over $120k
IS is about $40-50k and im sure you can easily get 10% off also.

0% is all well and good but key to sales in the IS segment is strong lease programs.

I just looked up the lease offers/specials on my dealer's website.

2020 IS 300 AWD
$369/month
36 months
$3999 due at signing
$1500 lease cash
10k miles per year

2021 IS 350 F Sport
$359/month
36 months
$3999 due at signing
$1500 lease cash
10k miles per year

Given those leases, they're going to have a hard time clearing out the outgoing models.

Keep in mind that rates are so low right now it doesn't cost them much to offer 0%.

Totally mind boggling. Because of this I ordered a 21 M340i. Not much Can beat that car for the price and what it offers

Has it been been reliable? It don't see many issues on the forums.

The IS is a shockingly fun car to drive, especially spirited. It’s extraordinarily capable at the limits.

Have you driven the prior version for comparison? Did they get rid of the bad understeer at the limit?
