That is super slow by today's standards. Hyundai is really pushing people into the hybrid models.

Well you get what you pay for. Get the dog engine, performs like a dog (and most people don't drive like a C&D test drive). Get a faux off road look, get a faux off road vehicle.

Folks on the Hyundai forums were super excited for this cosmetic pkg. Give the people what they want!

yes, the base engine isn't fast. surprised they're not offering this xrt package as a package on other trim levels like limited or calligraphy.

but yeah, fake rugged sells these days, because it's all about insta style and not substance.

Is it at least decent on gas in the real world with needing to wind out so much to keep up?

They're about to unveil the next gen model. Looks like a completely different vehicle. I don't expect much underneath to be changed because the last refresh already swapped out the platforms and powertrains with the latest Hyundai had to offer.

Yes it does, see it all the time. Trying to make a weak car or suv look tough is funny. lol
Probably no different than a Mustang with a 4 banger, in a way.

Probably need to wind it out I'm guesing if it's got a 4 banger.
It won't met your min HP or 0-60s minimum entry point. haha j/k

Maybe an optical illusion but that looks huge in the pics you posted compared to my moms old gen Sante Fe.
BTW, she loved that car and had it for years and was very reliable for her, no frills but got the job done.

I mean I would LOVE to own a diesel Discovery II and that sucker is SLOW. I am more than happy to give up 0-60 if I get 50 mpg and great towing/offroad and a very nice cabin.

doesn't make sense, and nothing there confirms that that's the next santa fe. if it's that big what's the point of the palisade?

All Korean sources are claiming it's the Santa Fe, I see no reason to doubt them. It makes sense considering that it's been 3 years since the refresh.

This doesn't look bigger to me than the current one, just a lot boxier. The faux cladding on the back of the prototype is making it look longer than it actually is.

Quoting to keep pictures together.

Everything in this story reads as this is the Hyundai Santa Fe interior. I'm not really doubting it, but my goodness it looks EXACTLY like a Range Rover interior with the Kia dual screen setup seen in it's most recent models. Lol.

Looks like they're using the same setup as the new Grandueur.
