By Brett Foote

Toyota Gazoo Racing pulls out of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring for obvious reasons.

Lexus probably diverted all the manpower into some 4 cylinder banger instead.

Shocker! And people ask me why nothing they say they're going to do excites me?

There is a good article in R & T this month...Cadillac has nixed the V8 they had...hand built as well.....I can totally see Toyota cancelling this V8 all together.

Here's hoping they take that delay to put the twin turbo V6 in more than one car instead of hyping up another engine that has yet to even make it into production, but after the IS, I'm not holding my breath.

Lexus the company is on hold, not just an engine.

Upsetting we have so many Lexus fans here pissed that the company isn't doing much of anything to get us excited these days. Hate to see it.

This is pandemic based rationale so it's OK, what;s not OK for them is to delay LC-F any longer. This endurance is completely irrelevant to LC-F or V8, it's some PR/Research/Data Log opportunity. I've never seen any German engine being battle tested this much and they all turned pretty much OK for German standard anyway. We can laugh at BMW V8TT in 7 that didn't have adequate cooling or what not but people still leased it and they keep leasing the venture.

Well, this engine will probably have to last about 20 years given their current powertrain cycle so they really really want to make sure it lasts

More bad news. Did they not learn anything from tt V6 in the new LS and its terrible sales or not giving the GS a affordable V8 option? Don't think Lexus will be in my future anymore if they keep this up.

Why don’t they just put in the LFA V10 in the GS and LS.

0 development effort. Maximum sales.

Well they did build that new track to put the new refreshed IS through it's paces, why not just use that for testing the new TTV8? It's their track to do as they please with. They said they used the Nurburgring as inspiration for the track. Seems like an easy solution to me.

Because the engine costs more than the car?
