No doubt this is a huge leap forward for the VW brand. But i'd almsot take a hugely discounted e-Golf for around town putzing rather than this ID4. Although something like the ID4 would be up for consideration for larger family duties.

Top trim and ~300 mile range is expected to hit $50K.
