No, that doesn’t remind me of a Daewoo because it doesn’t look like the taillights of a Daewoo. And, yes, to the other comments, because they go red, clear, and red (on just the white car). I just said they reminded me of them. It wasn’t a bad thing. I felt like they were making an homage to a fellow Korean automaker.
In all seriousness, this is such a reach that it's almost trolling.

So what else is new? Ninety recent of auto marketing is a waste of money. I learn more sitting inside a vehicle for thirty seconds (and driving it in just the first couple of blocks) than I do in hours of videos or ads...unless, of course, an excellent reviewer like Alex Dykes is doing the videos. And Alex is not in the business of taking corporate money for ads...he calls it like he sees it.

So apparently, Korean versions don't get the new 2.5T. Bizarre decision considering it's in the Stinger refresh, which sits on the same platform. Hope we at least get some confirmation later on that it will come overseas, because the current 2.0T is probably the worst-in-class engine.

I wish Genesis sold in Singapore. It would give the Germans more competition and drive down luxury sports sedan prices. Same too for Acura.
From what I've read, the main knock on this car is the cramped rear leg room. Hope to test that out if and when it comes to Singapore.
EDIT : Reviewer in the sneak peek video is 6'2" and had no issues fitting in the rear seat at 11:30 of the video . Now I really wish G70 was sold in my region.

I prefer this to Charlie's rather messy presentation.

Unlike the G80 and GV80, the digital tach actually goes in the right direction.

Looks like it doesn't get the 2.5T.

2022 Genesis G70 Will Have Carryover 2.0T and 3.3T Engines
Although we reported earlier this year that a new 2.5T base engine would come on board, it appears there's been a change of plans.
We previously reported that Genesis was planning to slot in a more powerful turbo 2.5-liter inline-four as the G70's new base engine, but that isn't happening now. Like before, the 2.0T option will produce between 252 hp and 255 hp depending on the model, and it will pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and either rear- or all-wheel drive. The six-speed manual option will be dropped for the 2022 model year.
The twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 will produce 365 horsepower in standard form, with a newly optional sport exhaust slated to add 3 hp for a total of 368 hp. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel-drive models will offer a new drift mode, which we assume is similar to the one found on the Kia Stinger GTS.
Genesis is also expanding the color palette, although we don't know if all the new color options—including brown, blue, and a few matte options—will make their way to the U.S. Expect to hear more about the U.S.-spec 2022 G70 in the coming months as we approach its on-sale date sometime in 2021.
- Genesis has released details about the updated 2022 G70 sedan.
- It will have carryover 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 3.3liter V-6 engines, not a new base 2.5-liter engine as we previously reported.
- Expect the G70 to arrive at U.S. dealerships next year.
