No clue why they dont do more with ambient lighting. Its so cheap and easy for them to do
I just think they like to do their own thing...otherwise Lexus is just copying the Germans....The new Corolla has ambient lighting.....my new 4runner has ambient but it is fixed to a blue hue on the door looks, floors and there is a spot light shining down from above

I think that's clearly shown to be a mistake. LED lighting makes these types of things very easy and inexpensive to do, and Lexus could cetainly add ambient themes and such to their cars in a way that is unique to their look.
Lexus is at their best with the LS when they are copying the Germans.
The ambient lighting in mine is a HUGE crowd pleaser
Yeah, I feel the same way. I actually like the pre refresh styling, but that alone wouldn't drive me to the pre-refresh, that tablet is just a deal killer for me. They took a beautiful interior and just killed it with that IMO

yes, i feel the same, it's quite disappointing.

IMO, both touch screens look like an "afterthought"; though yours is a tad better by looking more integrated.
In this instance, they should have totally restyled the dash for the 5.5LS midlife refresh.
