Very disappointing. The Camry has had one of the ugliest faces, and there is still no improvement to it. Barely see any changes to the rear either. Facelifts are usually a bit more deliberate.

Overall I don't think it looks bad, but the fact that they couldn't even rework the upper dash bad and you can still see the cutouts for the old air vents just with a filler piece inside is sad.

Bigger screen is a huge upgrade though. I drove that Camry for 2 weeks while the rear bumper on my LS was painted and the small and low screen was a big low point.

floating screens can be done right. The Camry just looks like a aftermarket mod (esp with the JBL logo) with the old air vents covered up. I see it as marketing wanting to something to new to say to keep their jobs relevant.

I hate the tablet look. Totally ruins the identity of an interior vs older cars that you can instantly know what brand it was, now everything looks the same thanks to market analysis and focus groups and ergonomics optimization.

Soon there will will be no difference between any brand and model, just a large iPad and the physical climate buttons. Kinda sad to see the individuality of cars die off even if the interiors are objectively better for the users

yep focus groups are stupid. You wouldn’t have an apple iPhone if they did focus groups on a Nokia 3310.

speaking of tablet screens. This one is more of a TV. So out of place and distracting. I’m a office worker already facing 2 giant screens everyday. I don’t want to look at another giant LCD screen when I’m in a car with a bright white background giving me a sun tan.

I don't have any problem instantly telling what brand a car is by looking at it inside and out with modern cars.
