unbelievable! my Ferrari experience - had to share
Just had to post this to you guys since I'm still psyched about it!!
Had the chance to drive a Ferrari 360 Modena this evening -- holy *****! The clutchless F1 pedals behind the steering wheel are amazingly crisp relative to the GS, but got the hang of them quickly. The car just begs for more. I have driven and rode in fast cars before, but this was a rush that was completely different. So amazing...
The owner gave me a "sampling" of the top end power of the car on the highway -- it feels as if the car continues to beg for more! We were cruising, varying the speed throught traffic, accelerating where possible... Came up on some more traffic, cars, a truck and a few bikes... maneuver through the cars, then, ALAS, open highway
The front rider in the group of bikes pulls up on our right and waves us on -- here we go!
... 70... 75... 80... 90... 100... cruise for a bit... punch it! ... 120... what happened to 110? ... traffic!
....
...
weave in and out
....
find another opening

a truck!!!!

...
slow down... too much traffic now... game over...
We turn onto another road to head back, slow down... biker gives us a huge thumbs up... and us back... couldn't quite see what he was riding -- but the bike certainly had plenty left as well... too bad we didn't have a greater amount of space (and time, since we came up on the traffic so incredibly fast -- and the car accelerates soooo fast)... all in a matter of less than a minute...
As we pull over to switch places (and let me drive), we hear the bike catching up with his friends back on the highway... didn't try the highway out myself, but after that rush, I was more than satisfied... did get in some good curves, and a bit of straightaway... enough to feel the power that was sitting directly behind me and the great handling. Amazing opportunity... just wanted to share.

Thanks guys... bizzy, it was certainly well after the "rush" hour traffic in that area, there were just those small clumps of cars in between wide open stretches. At any rate, I understand where you're coming from as well...
