Chevy Blazer overwhelmed by Bronco introduction
#16
So I ordered a new 2021 4Runner. Arriving in Oct and I put $1000 down and signed the paperwork...it’s done. VIN number has not been determined and the rest of the money is due on delivery as the MSRP and pricing codes are set. So the dealer places the order or uses my purchase agreement to secure the model I wanted which is blue when they see it is available That is vastly different than dropping a $100 cancellable reservation that simply puts someone in line to be able to order the vehicle from a dealer who has to place the order(which is not even available to order yet)

NOBODY is going to cross shop a Blazer and a Bronco today, GM didnt intend them to.
The funny thing is...when the dust settles...I bet the current Blazer outsells the Bronco. The question will be on an ongoing basis how many people will buy the Bronco. I envision it being a sort of Ford FJ Cruiser. Excellent. Awesome. Nobody bought it.
People WANT crossovers.

Its like saying they sold 500,000 Tesla Cybertrucks. They didn't...and 95% of those will refund.

I didn't know these were being built in Mexico even more reason not to buy either one. Anyhow, this is all hilarious. So much broken promises, outright lies- sigh. Good thing I don't buy domestic cars. If I want a capable off-roader it will be a 4 Runner TRD which I plan to purchase sometime in the future.

Dunno Jill but Mr Michigan above alluded bronco being made in his state so I assume he's correct from his sarcastic approach. From MM's article I thought both were MX built but I don't buy domestic cars so my knowledge is limited.
PS. Jill, it appears you are correct so I wasn't all wrong then since one trim of the bronco is indeed being made in MX sigh....

The Bronco Sport isn't a trim, it's a completely different vehicle, a compact unibody crossover. It's built in Mexico, alongside the Escape that it's based on.

and the 'well-respected' publication (an old newspaper) wrote it to get clicks.

Duh, big difference between pre-ordering a bronco and actually ordering one. . But pre-orders are simply RESERVING your right to order with a deposit. Im not retarded, been in the industry for a long time now.
But clearly you must know all because you've ordered *gasp* a 4Runner.
anyway...im out. Have fun debating semantics with yourself.
