MM, you know I'm in Texas, tons of NEW diesel F250, Ram trucks -- please don't tell me these things don't belch out stinky carcinogens right into my face....I deal with it 5 days a week on my daily commute

I don't care about the 1 out of 50000 that buys a diesel BMW or Mercedes...but they sure don't help the situation.

We are not talking about truck-diesels and those Cummins power-plants in this thread, but regular automotive diesels...Common-rail, TDI, Bluetec, Skyactiv, etc...) Since you're around those trucks so much, then you should know that they are exempt from emissions regs......if you don't, then please take it kindly as a bit of constructive information from me).

That's not to say that truck-diesels have no regulations at all, but, yes, they are much more likely to belch out the more traditional pollutants than today's car-diesels.
