Had my new 4Runner for just under 6 months.
14 miles per gallon. Or 16.7l per 100
i can’t express how high up the vehicle is. I have a pic next to a Audi wagon in the Tim Hortons drive thru today.
mostly city driving.
‘I like how the engine bay has some covering up of the mechanical parts. Mostly at the front.
‘the V6 on the larger side of 4.0 is fine. Although really ancient
LED lights at night re phenomenal. And the optitron display is so lovely.
60 series tires on 20” wheels are nice riding.
Here are some pics.

14-15 MPG is probably all you can expect in city driving from a truck-based SUV with a V6. You'll probably do a lot better than that on the road, though....maybe mid-20s, particularly if you are on level surface, at moderate speeds, and without the A/C on max.
I thought your 4Runner was dark blue......the hood looks gray in that shot, although it may just be the camera-angle/reflection, or the result of a cloudy day without sunlight. The sun can make a lot of difference in paint jobs.

I feel so much safer when driving my 4x4 Tundra which sits high vs my SC430 which sits low. Switching back and forth between the two makes me feel bi-polar or manic-depressive. However, the ride and feel of the SC makes up for the fact that I can't see *****. There's a few SUV's on the market that provide both a great view and great handling, such as the Posche Cayenne, but they're too rich for my blood!

At 6:30am this morning and after 1.5 years I hit 10,000km.
only thing I don’t like is the LKA beeping all the time. And I wish Toyota covered up the exposed interior door frame paint (like they do on my 04). And a door lock for the fuel door would be nice cheapskates at Toyota removed it for this gen

This may be a blessing in disguise. If someone wants to steal your gas, it's FAR preferable for them to siphon it via the fuel filler. The alternative, which is being seen all over Chicago at least (and probably everywhere), is that they drill a hole in your gas tank and drain it into a bucket. You've got lots of ground clearance which makes that process even easier.

I dont know if drilling the gas tank is a good idea, it can cause a spark from metal on metal friction, or just the sparks of the electric motor. When NYC was flooded by Sandy, there were hundreds of thousands of flooded cars and a severe fuel shortage, but authorities were advising against drilling gas tanks in flooded cars for that exact reason.

Congratulations on the milestone (oops, KM-stone LOL) . By now, it should probably be time for an oil change if you have not had one yet.
I agree in principle it is probably needless cost-cutting, but on the other hand, sometimes it's good to have a unlockable fuel-door. The cables and other mechanisms that release the lock can fail, break, or malfunction, and then it can be very difficult to get the door open without using force and maybe causing damage to it.
