My new 21 4Runner

My new 21 4Runner
So after almost 8 weeks, my nautical blue 4Runner finally came. I wanted a 2020 model but they could never find the color. So finally, heard two weeks ago they have one coming....
I could have purchased whatever I wanted but this is what I wanted ...to match my 04 blue V8 4Runner that my other half gets to have.
I ended up getting a rust coating and on the frame too as well. Also, got a clear film at the front.
When it was delivered...it had just 2km
Some of the things I do like...great screen and the factory navigation has been significantly upgraded for usability.
Love the fact that it still has real leather
Optitron gauges.
15 speaker JBL
The new LED lights are AMAZING as well as the LED fog lights.
And the tires are 60 series on 20 in rims. (Other 4Runners with 20in rims get 40 series tires)
Completely shocked the spare wheel is a matching set and is supposed to be rotated just like my 04
I love the cruise control stalk on the steering wheel
What I don’t like...
I really could do without LKA
radar cruise I don’t care for
I don't really care for the remote start on the app
I don't like the door courtesy lights are non-LED
Some that makes no difference to me:
Apple Car Play....I don't really care for it but I am glad it is there
All the beeps and noises from all the safety features.
I probably will drive about 10,000km per year..I expect it to last just as long as my 04.
I know this forum can be a little anti-Toyota but I hope some can appreciate something like this. I could have bought whatever I wanted but this is what I wanted right down to the color. I do think the powertrain could be updated but I also like the idea that they kept the costs down.
Total out the door cost $63K and some change.
My others half Matrix
Some supplies and my bags on way home from work
Some of the off road stuff I don’t need

Congrats! Looks like a great car and I even like the zig zag shifter. I personally like all the features you don’t like but to each their own and you can just turn radar cruise and LKA off.
The only thing I don’t like about the 4Runners is I still feel the tires are too skinny for the truck. Just looks off to me.

As per LDA. It only has the alert, doesn’t assist or bring you back like the Avalon. Has to do with the fluid based power steering. I just don’t enjoy it because there is so much beeping going on all the time.
Car Play is a strange thing for me. I really like the exit information that comes with the Toyota nav. And when a prompt comes it chimes a little before. For sure, text messaging and finding a route is easier in Car Play but the drawbacks are the above and it doesn’t allow to match audio. Maybe it’s just a Toyota thing. I don’t text much or have the need to while driving...just phones calls is all that I would ever need
And tires. I know what you mean. Look skinny but the way they do the bumpers and overhangs might have a influence in the way it looks

Great News, Jill. Best of luck with it Haven't heard of many 4Runners NOT having good luck. One of my colleagues has one going on 300K miles.
I see, from the gauge/DIC-images, that you got the Canadian-spec version, In KPH and degrees C, instead of U.S.-spec MPH and degrees Fahrenheit.

For example, who knew, a year ago, that COV-ID was coming? Next year, it could just be a memory....or we could have something even worse.
Who would have guessed you in a white Camry, and me in a small crossover?
No matter how many miles/KMs Jill drives (or doesn't drive), I'm just glad for her that she has a new vehicle.....it's been a while since she's had one, she is a major contributor to Car Chat, and IMO, maybe time for a treat.
