I'm tempted! Not sure what I would do with it but I'm tempted:

I always liked how the buttons on the centre hvac stack and radio are all spaced out. The the heated seat buttons are in the wood. Something I dislike with modern cars is when everything is in a cluster.

First time the gated shifter was used.

Looks better than most modern sedans with ridiculous 20" rims and obnoxious grilles.

Def looks better than current LS!

The 2 tone paint jobs were also cool and unique. Lexus needs to go back to its past.....

not really, it was a dealer add-on - applied plating - never left the factory like that - thus NOT authentic

it may be fake 'gold' but the badges themselves are real metal... i once lost the LS part of the badge in a carwash and the 'oem replacement' i got off ebay was a total pile of junk, the real genuine badge was like 3x the price but when compared closely side by side with the ebay badge it was a whole other league of quality

Actually the gated shifter came out on the 1995, the 1998 was the refresh.

wow the current bid is already at over $13,000! and as always with a low mileage LS idk how someone could restrain themselves to drive it so infrequently! i mean i've lost track of how many additional miles i've put on mine just from intentionally taking a longer than necessary route or even taking the car out for no reason... great to see the owner(s) keeping it so immaculate this is really one of the best examples i've ever seen

also steve this is a 1999

https://carsandbids.com/auctions/35W...0-lexus-ls-400

At $8,000 as of this post, with 8 hours remaining.

The gold emblems were so popular in the mid to late 90's. So while maybe not "authentic" in the factory sense, they're definitely period correct.
