Default Tesla will join S&P 500 in December

Just announced that TSLA is joining the S&P 500 on December 21. Stock is up nearly 14% in after-hours trading. TSLA will be one of the bigger S&P 500 constituents.

TSLA could have been included earlier as it met the four consecutive profitable quarters criteria last quarter.

Yes, Tesla shareholders are riding high right now, but keep one thing in mind, particularly when it comes to stocks................They can burst with little or no warning.

I got my shares in when it was around $33. I'm not worried.

They also said that about Apple. If you believe in the company, invest in it.

Could not agree more. What tends to work best for me has been to not just invest in the ones you believe in, but if you do believe in the company then believe for the long term.

It can be hard not to sell to lock in gains in TSLA when the price pops or sell to limit downside risk during drops but with TSLA, ZM and a few others it's been better to just hold and ride things out.
