Meanwhile, 100+ Teslas burned down in China. I'm sure it was a very environmentally friendly fire.

It's a long complicated history, but I don't think that's actually Hyundai Motor Group, but Hyundai Heavy Industry which is a totally different company.

That's OK!
I still like toys and want it!

My HOA will probably evict me and have no where to put it but I like it.

Apparently the heater cores can start fires. Hyundai just can’t catch a break and extinguish their fire issues

This particular recall for faulty heater cores is not likely related to a risk of fire. The temperatures from the cooling system will be below 200 degrees F, which is far too low to result in fire.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the connector to the heater core may overheat due to a faulty electrical connection,” said the company in its recall notice.

“This may cause excess heat in the connection. If this occurs it may result in a vehicle fire”
Sounds like a resistive heating element. Unless they are talking about the blower.

With this additional info, I would label it a HVAC control system, electrical defect, not a "heater core" issue, leading to the risk of fire.

I just paraphrased the line in the article.
