I don't understand Kia, they need to find a design language and stick to it.
They are all over the place, but I do like the design of their EV6. Some people say the back is ugly, but I was behind one the other night and to me it looks cool

I love the fact that they're all over the place honestly. Not every manufacturer has to follow the playbook. Their designers seem to be having fun.

Oh yeah, let's glue fake wood panels all over it, maybe they will think it's real

Yeah I did. I'm laughing just remembering some of it! I definitely remember the station wagon!

Just watched it a few weeks ago. One of my favorites for sure.

Basically it sounds like the engine (2.4L inline-4) is so bad that multiple outfits refuse to rebuild the engine, they would rather install a replacement if they had to. Not sure if there's anything else to note, I just skimmed through up to the 8 minute mark.

Have to note, if the owner had changed their oil none of that would have been necessary. The car only had like 3/4 of a quart of totally black sludge in it.

Absolutely, but the fact that multiple vendors flat out refuse to rebuild the engine says a lot. Hyundai wouldn't even take the core if he bought a brand new long block from them. Sounds like the 2.4 is not worth rebuilding, which I think is why Jill posted this vid?

Yeah, its a crappy 4 cyl Hyundai engine...not surprised nobody wants to rebuild it.

The issue. The Hyundai lacks the low oil warning (doesn’t work correctly) to even let you know the oil is low. My friends KIA was recalled for this exact issue.

I just got yet another one that is trying to set itself on fire, melted tail light and it's consuming plenty of oil as usual and has carbon issues at 120k miles

You still know you need to change the oil regularly...

I've updated my personal studies on defective lighting for recent Kia/Hyundai models: Now around 90% of them have non-working brake lights or taillights. I've been tracking this for nine years, and the percentages are climbing each year. This shows, like the engine and fire recalls, the problems have not been addressed and are only growing worse.
