I'm well aware.....and it's insane. Cars that new should still be perfect underneath, then again if they are leaking oil like half of them tend to it does stop the rust!

Seen many Lexus and Toyota's in cold climates up North that had excessive Rust underneath from salt and the elements. Many had problems with also removing bolts and other, due to salt and corrosion.
Just a few years ago the IS and other models had a full Recall and TBS for Rust on cars a little as 2 years old.

That's where the old Saturn S-series and other vehicles with the plastic bodies really shone, but, of course, metal parts underneath the vehicle could still rust or corrode.

Then why does Kia consistently rank high in both Consumer Reports and J.D. Power reliability surveys? Those rankings cannot be bought...they are earned.

My Audis have zero rust since they are made of aluminum and EVERY single bolt is coated/protected on top of having full undertrays. My LS430 with 260k is also totally rust free underneath as is the LS460, hell even my 300k+ mile jeep is perfectly okay at fasteners and core structure

Kia and Tesla. There is a lot of hate out there for them. Even though they have their problems like everyone else. Like I said before there is No perfect car. I remember seeing a ratings chart at a Lexus dealer. I was surprised. Of course Lexus was way up top out of like 30 manufactures. Buick was way up there too. Nissan was like way, way at the bottom. Kia/Hyundai was close to the top also.

Recall? lol! The Toyota Trucks were recalled, Honda/Acura had rusting away Driveshaft recall issues, Ford GM, Mits, Mazda, Toyota/Lexus (half a million Toyota and Lexus), you name it for early Rust, as early as 2021 models issues? But lets just focus on Hyundai cars only?

General Motors, Mitsubishi, Honda, and Toyota have all had recent safety recalls for rust and corrosion on the chassis, frame, and undercarriage of vehicles.
NHTSA has also issued a similar warning for rusting pipes that carry break-fluid in five million older Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC pickups and SUVs.
