If you do any mods, definitely do the wheels. The chrome finish takes away from the sportiness of the LC. Nice brushed HREs with proper offset would make it look even better and do wonders for the stance of the car.
I've got to recover from this mad purchase before any other outlays!
I think most OEMs have gotten a lot better with wheel options. Most performance cars now come with forged wheels. If you want perfect fitment and aggressive setups then you have to go aftermarket. Companies like BBS and HRE make great wheels. Lots of great JDM wheels as well like Volk Racing.

Perfect fitment with aftermarket rims? You gotta be kidding me, last I checked they have universal center bore sizes and offsets, so they often require nonsense like hub centric rings and spacers to even fit, never mind achieving proper fitment.
i hear you. i have basically no interest in all the fitment, tire issues, balance issues, alignment issues, etc. sure many people have aftermarket rims and love them and don't have (or don't admit to or don't care about) issues. i've been there, done that, not likely to ever do again.
flowrider's setup is cool though, but i don't need/want even bigger wheels/tires.

Yep, I've done it on my first car when I was in my early 20ies. Learned once and for all to never compromise my future cars with this nonsense.

I don't know where you checked My Vossen wheels have the correct bore size and the offsets and wheel widths are custom per my specification. They also have the correct lug size. LC's and LS's come with M14 lug bolts (other Lexus come with smaller M12 bolts). So, they were made to fit my LC

So they actually make car specific rims then? I know in the past many aftermarket rims came with oversized bores that essentially made the lug centric and caused vibration issues.
What made you replace your stock rims with aftermarket on the LC? I think the stock ones on Bit's car look great.
Just looked through Vossen and then on tirerack several other brands for my cars - they dont even list bore sizes, just show a ton of rims that fit with bolt patterns and offset sizes.
