That system is still in place at the Shell pumps, where you enter your Bonus card...sometimes, it will accept the card outright; other times it will ask you for the card's remote code typed in manually. I've never had to type in my phone number at the pump, although it does ask for your zip code. I also keep a mini-card hanging off my key-chain and fob, so I don't have to dig out the regular card from my wallet every time I need it.

it depends on how your Fuel Rewards account is set up. If you download the Shell Fuel Rewards app to your phone you create a Shell Fuel Rewards account. You can add your Giant Bonus Card to that account and all your Giant points will show up there, and you will also get 5c a gallon off every shell fillup because you have an account. If you link a CC to that account, next time you go to a Shell and stick your CC in it will recognize you and present you with your points.

We don't even carry our Giant Bonus Cards, We just use my phone number.

So you need the Shell Fuekl Rewards App, And the Shell App. The Fuel Rewards app creates the account and merges your Giant points. The Shell app lets you pay from the app without ever touching the pump.

Fuel Rewards app (as you can see is get 5c and an additional 10c for some other thing I did, who knows what that was:

No problem!

The Exxon app also earns you points every fill up and then you can apply them in dollar amounts off a whole tank of fuel.

It's still available in the Costcos in San Jose, CA, as I've seen it just recently. It is one of my pet peeves about Costco, however, how they are not consistent with the products they carry. Sometimes you can order on-line if you can't find the product on the shelves.

I hear you...it can be a total PITA to shop there! However, when one's retired and can go during off-hours, it can be worth the pain as their meat department and organic produce is excellent. I used to buy my Mobil 1 oil there, but switched to Penzoil Platinum Plus per the Project Farm test. Costco's micro-fiber towel deal is the best!

Never really cared or paid attention to brands for gasoline. Always at a name brand station and there are four or five of them. Never really from SHELL....no name places I don’t frequent. Never been to Costco. I would never ever wait in a line to fill up

I thought only Americans hated waiting in lines! If you go during off hours, such as 10:00 to 11:00 am, you don't have to wait in lines at Costco. For some reason, my whole driving life, I've always avoided Shell, but I don't even remember why!
