I joined supraforums two weeks ago today and all it said then was:
Your account has been activated but you are currently in the moderation queue to be added to the forum.
How long will this Queue take? I am very impatient at this point. Supraforums is using the same forum company as this site! There are new posts everyday so they are still running but does anyone have any answers?

My Apologies
I am sorry, I didn't mean to imply that the software was the cause. I meant they take forever to go through the list. Probably a lot of people joining at the same time. I also didn't know that your forum software is from a different company. Sorry about that. Thanks for replying and correcting me. So... who owns it these days? Is it still up?

No worries Kelly. Same forum software (LOTS of forums use vBulletin) as CL, different hosts, different owners, etc.

Man.. back when i had a 93' and then subsequently a 97' TT, Supraforums was THE place to be....the ongoing drama between TX and AZ, Tozer, Guilly, Bryce, etc. was classic! But at the Vegas Supra Meets, it was all for fun! This was when the term BPU was first introduced altogether and now has been used liberally all over the place hehe...
ahh...the good ol days!

I used to own the Supra lil bro, the MK2 MR2 T. I used to go there and that place was always the wild west, it was either getting hacked or offline all the time. Now its like a civic forum or something, I mean nothing on the planet can touch a single turbo Supra but come on, there are other cars out there.
They smoke Viper and Bikes, and think they can, wait, I guess they can

You guys are too young to remember the mkiv.com mailing list that preceded Supraforums. That's where Tozer, Guilly, Saad, Bruce St John, Bryce Danna, Ryan Woon, and a host of others got their start in the MkIV cyberworld. Nick Potkay ran the list on majordomo. There were days with 300+ emails because Guilly would get into it with someone. Way back in '97. The funny part to me was most of these guys went on to set up stores and sell parts for MkIV Supras. And Nero was selling computer parts, not car parts. Titan wasn't even a thought yet. I met Nero in '99 at SILV '99. He was driving his black Supra then, and definitely not the fastest guy around. Jarrett was there too with Ben Blaylock's Supra...
I still think its funny - Supraforums doesn't even give Dave Mashour credit for the term Dawg, but he was the first, and it was on the MkIV list.
Marshall Morgan bought MkIV.com from Nick and now runs mkivforums but the traffic there is really light compared to Supraforums.
I'm registered at SF, but don't participate much. Bad signal to noise ratio. I'm only interested in PHR's CARB legal single. I wish it were available now, I could really use it before smog in January.

Registered there for the first time in 2000 myself, but eventually i got tired of all the the trolling and stuff...so i quietly emigrated to the english mkivsupra.net-forum, wich...in my opinion...is a much better forum if youre after good info on the mkIV
