I came very close to buying a Type R back in the day, and given the way they've held their value I'm kind of kicking myself for not doing so. But no AC or cruise control was a deal-killer for a DD.
Back OT, excited to see that this is a bespoke platform. Too much to hope that it'll be RWD-based (and the renders certainly indicate otherwise), but maybe, just maybe, an MT on offer? Unlikely to be sure, but this is still the same company that produces two variants of the Civic that aren't even available with an automatic. So it's possible.
Will be checking them out on Thursday. Would love to see Acura regain some of the character it used to have.

Exterior looks good overall.
Interior is similar to current RDX and has no shifter - which I really don’t like.
Turbo V6 will be mated to 10speed Auto.
I was hoping it would have longitudinal engine layout since its Acura dedicated platform but that is not the case.

That interior is messy AF. Someone needs to Marie Kondo that dashboard, looks so unorganized.
Exterior is as expected, a toned down concept. I hope the power train proves to be stellar. Right now, I find this to be pretty average.

Should be north of 350hp and 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds to make a splash in the market. The G70 hasn't made a dent in the market...barely see those things on the street and it has rave reviews. At least this thing looks like it has useable back seats

I’m a bit disappointed. Looks are quite tame and dash is a mess.

Acura has a round logo but still uses a giant piece of rectangular plastic for their radar?
Not a fan of the excessive fake/covered up vents. It's bad enough on the Civic, we don't need it to pollute this too.
Lack of digital gauges is disappointing. Interior looks very similar to the RDX, which is to be expected. And like the RDX, we probably won't know how good it is until it actually gets driven.

I can't consider IS competitive in any way. No amount of refresh will help that car unless they put in new engines (which they won't). Also new TLX seems like a bigger car than the previous one.
