When attending the Lexus Performance Drivers School event in August ‘19, a question about an LC F in the future was side stepped as to date but a model with a TTV8 was almost confirmed.
The lackluster sales for LCs certainly slowed the enthusiasm but if the engine is ready, an LCF with a 2022 MY offered late 2021 or early 2022 seems likely.
Of course, the price tag will be astronomical and drive buyers to other manufacturers..... And, they will be more rare than LCs are today out in the wild but exclusivity seems to be a draw.
We will see later in the year how that plays out.
As for whatever is in store for the LS platform, the 500 is a total loser and not sure it can be saved. Will stick with my 430 and 460 as long as I can keep them going.....

The fact that the IS500 is exclusively for the North American market spells everything we need to know about how Lexus is moving away from V8's. This is nothing more than a bone thrown to enthusiasts using old tech as they ramp up their global plans for the brand new electric and hybrid vehicles with Direct-4.

I'm glad Lexus gives us one final hurrah with this car, but it's the last of its kind.

With the new administration and the rejoining of the Paris Climate Agreement, those days are numbered and soon we'll be following the footsteps of the Europeans and Chinese in outlawing all new ICE vehicles by 2030.

New Mustang will have a V8.
New Raptor is getting an all new V8.
Corvette Z06 will have all new V8.
Best of all it seems the Lexus V8 TT may see the light of day also!
Its not all doom and gloom.

It is basically impossible to outlaw ICE cars by 2030, none of these countries have the grid that can come close to so many EV's charging at once, the infrastructure to charge them, etc. It would be really stupid for the US to try to attempt that nonsense with bans on ICE cars and I just don't see it happening no matter what a bunch of dumb politicians say and promise, they don't know anything about cars or electric grids and have basically been told it is impossible and will bankrupt the auto industry for nothing.
