Does it have to do with phasing out new ICE cars sale by 2030? I think so...

I think this makes sense IMO. Toyota could do anything they want really with their Lexus brand. The IS500 softened up which was the right move. A replacement for the LC500 5.0 liter could be made and just soften up the suspension and call it a day.

Guys if any of you want to drive gas powered cars RIGHT now is the time to go and purchase that dream car.

The new models will either be EV, hybrid or impacted in some way to reduce emissions.

The sad part is you can’t even buy most new sports cars like 911, V8 Mercedes etc.
I think the V8 LC500 maybe has 1-2yrs left at most.

The end is here sadly…

I think it is a disservice to search patents and then make inferences about future products.

case in point. The LX600 was abandoned a decade plus ago to then recently be revived.

Actually, they are trademarks and I agree with you. A filing of a trademark promises nothing to the consumer so no disappointment should be experienced. Lexus owes us nothing with regards to their F program.

Yeah meant the same, I guess that would apply patents as well. Just because something is patented does not mean it will be applied to cars that consumers will buy.

Out of interest. The IS-F has two different trademark . GS-F does not.

Referencing outdated or dead trademark filings, from an era which pre-dates Akio Toyoda's regime and his administration, says more than enough about the intentions here...but the concerns are quite valid.

However, it still stands 98% of filed Toyota trademarks for production model FULL LENGTH nomenclature for Lexus, go into production LOL. And the ones which have died under the Akio/TNGA era, were notably abandoned. Other than LCF, very few in fact.

Glad though all of us are doing research on this, so as not to be in the dark at what's coming, feasible, or canceled.

In terms of Lexus LC F and LS F, there are members on this forum who know a lot more than they're saying and I know what they have said, but I won't repeat it out of respect for them and right to publish their own insight.

Akio Toyoda had his own issues, which would require a lot more investment to keep it going. At the moment there is an alternative coming, but it can only be speculation at this point. That one I would take my observation here with a grain of salt, as it's still secondhand information.

LCF trademark is dead and a highly connected Lexus specialist supports that truth, while people under him are trying to dispel that and claim "there's more coming".

yup, which is why, even though i'm not a 'nostalgia' guy, i snagged an lc500... and i typically don't keep cars a long time, but i hope this is my toy for a long time unless i get a great offer for it.
